The Liz Burville Performing Arts Centre is an Approved ISTD Dance Centre and is a training provider for the FDI (Foundation in Dance Instruction) and CDE (Certificate for Dance Education) Teaching Qualifications as set out by the ISTD (The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing).

Students study during the daytime and can work on the various modules that make up each of these qualifications.

FDI is a Level 3 qualification and CDE is a Level 4 qualification.

 

Students must be 16 and over and already hold an Intermediate ISTD practical Examination certificate for the Dance Genre they wish to study. This level and above can be studied during the daytime or at our evening classes if a student has not yet attained an Intermediate level in their chosen genre.

 

Dance Genres that can be taken at FDI and CDE level are  ISTD Classical Ballet, Modern and Tap.

The FDI and CDE courses are organised by Paul Groarke and fees for each session together with the timetable is available from him.

 

Many students have attained their FDI and CDE qualifications through our Professional Development Courses here at LBPAC and are currently teaching across the UK and abroad.

Term dates coincide with term dates at LBPAC.
