Musical Theatre
Working on songs from Musical Shows of differing styles, with suitable staging and where appropriate incorporating the dramatic build-up by setting up the scene that either precedes or follows the selected song. Work on both ensemble and solo numbers will be included in the session. Examinations can be taken in Trinity Guildhall Musical Theatre and Performance Arts.

Drama
The sessions will cover working on all aspects of acting from mime, characterisation, working on excerpts from existing plays and devising own pieces. Pupils will work on improvisation, correct breathing, clarity of diction and spontaneity. Group activities as well as solo and pair work will be explored. Examinations can be taken in Trinity Guildhall Drama and Acting Skills.

SINGING
Singing
Working on vocal and music training to assist tonal quality, the correct use of breathing in singing and to explore choral harmony work. There will be an emphasis on both strengthening voices as a group and as individuals. A variety of musical styles will be explored through the different songs selected. These will build up into a small but suitable repertoire of appropriate songs for audition and performance use by individuals and as a group repertoire for public performances.

TEAM
Performance Team
The classes are for pupils who have successfully auditioned to join the Performance Team each September and those performers will take part in Performance Team events throughout the year. The session covers limbering, stretching and strengthening work to build stamina and flexibility together with work on stretching the individuals dance vocabulary through work on movements that are challenging and interesting. A programme of Routines of varying styles will gradually be built up throughout the year for presentation at showcase style performances and for competitions.
PLEASE NOTE
Junior Performance Arts classes are suitable for children from the age of 6 to 11 years and who are in Primary School and Senior Performance Arts Classes are suitable for children from the age of 11 18 and who are in Secondary School. Boys as well as girls are invited to audition for the Performance Teams
Baby Drama is for the under 6s.
